Ark: Survival Evolved got a major overhaul on Nintendo Switch last year with the release of ‘Last Survivor Edition’.

In case you missed it, it has improved performance and image quality, reduced load times, and added a number of quality-of-life features including inventory management. Fast forward to 2023 and another patch (Version 2.0.5) has now been released.

This latest update focuses on adding support for the Ragnarok DLC but also comes with a number of bug fixes and improvements. Here’s the full rundown of what to expect via the official patch notes:

  • Added support for the upcoming Ragnarok DLC
  • Non-reserved sessions are now available
  • Fixed a state where wild dinosaurs would stop moving online
  • Creature spawning bug fixed
  • Fixed broken anti-grid logic killing players when entering online pearl cave
  • Fixed date without online savings
  • Greatly improved melee combat performance
  • Fixed some creatures lost during ascension
  • Fixed crash when having Network Error dialog
  • Fixed floating hive on the island
  • Fixed tree plastic faucet
  • Fixed aberration exterior lights
  • Fixed multiplayer movement with parachute and zip line
  • Improved underwater post-processing visuals
  • Improved aberration cave lighting
  • Fixed too bright tooltip icons
  • Improved Baby Reaper vfx
  • Fixed Reaper King’s attack bug
  • Fixed an issue with impregnation of Reaper while riding the creature
  • Rockwell trophy image fixed
  • Fixed Manticore trophy color correct
  • Fixed lighting in Rockwell boss arena
  • Fixed Rockwell tentacle animation
  • Fixed an issue where tamed Megalosaurus would stand while sleeping
  • Fixed Megatherium to stay seated on save/load
  • Fixed multiple ground lines and collision issues on all maps
  • Fixed bad movement on leaflet if player logged out while online
  • Fixed blinking mating icons online
  • Fixed animations that interfered with opening online maps or cycling tools
  • Fixed cave creatures that could not be tamed by design
  • Fixed Cryopod tool tip not displaying stats correctly
  • Fixed visuals on “She Who Waits” explorer notes
  • Fixed ballista turret displaying ammo when it’s empty
  • Cheat fly is no longer interrupted on impact with water
