I wanted to keep every single item I used to own for the rest of my days, my life in New York City simply wouldn’t allow it. I have, at most, 500 square feet to work with, and even though clothes, shoes, and bags make up 99% of my thoughts every day, I especially don’t want them to take up that much space in my life. My apartment also. So to make up for it, I have to come out of my closet-minus the basics, of course – a lot. And with fall fast approaching, I’m gearing up for another refresh.
Luckily, this fall’s trend selection is great, so figuring out which pieces to remove to make room for it shouldn’t be too difficult. However, waving goodbye to trends that have served you for months or even years is never easy. Alas, it must be done. Have heavy leather jacket and satin ballet apartment to buy, after all.
