As 2022 draws to a close, excited predictions about what will happen in 2023 are starting to take hold. However, before entering the new year, we must look back and recognize some of the women in the rap industry who have made remarkable changes in 2022.
Here are ten songs by female rappers, in no particular order, that have come out in the past year and deserve acclaim.

First, we have Monaleo’s remix of “We Not Humping,” which debuts in 2021. She’s teamed up with Flo Milli for the improved bop, and these rappers are definitely EATING on the track.

‘FNF (Let’s Go)’ by GloRilla
GloRilla has had an extraordinary year, releasing one hit after another. However, before hits like “Blessed” and “Tomorrow 2”, it all started with her collaboration with Hitmaka: “FNF (Let’s Go)”.
The Memphis hybrid rapper succeeded with “song of summer,” and she just kept rising from there. In fact, the hit eventually became Spotify’s top viral song.
‘Mind Yo Business’ by Lakeyah
Thanks to the videos of TikTok and Instagram, a lot of people have been exposed to “Mind Yo Business”. This Lakeyah track has appeared on several social media videos and for good reason!
After all, everyone needs to come up with a “First, b***h miss your business!” everytime everywhere.
Latto’s ‘Great Energy’
Latto revealed a hilarious soundtrack from Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy” this year, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge this awesomeness!
The remix of “Big Energy” featuring Mariah herself, as well as DJ Khaled, contributed to the song’s resounding success. Additionally, it won “Song of the Year” at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.
City Girls’ ‘top’
Yung Miami and JT teamed up with Fivio Foreign for this track and it’s definitely a solid single to help keep fans engaged for the next City Girls project.
We also have to dedicate it to JT, because her line in “Top Notch” is especially difficult!
‘Blick Blick!’ by Coi Leray
After hits of 2021 like “No More Party” and “BIG PURR (Prrdd),” Coi Leray teamed up with Nicki Minaj to write another bop: “Blick Blick!”
However, Nicki eventually revealed that the project was almost non-existent due to the drama between her and Coi’s father, Benzino. Thankfully, however, the pair made it through and brought the track to life.
‘Munch’ by Ice Spice
Ice Spice, humorously dubbed “Modern day Princess Diana” by some fans, is another artist who achieved massive success in 2022 with “Munch.” In addition, she released other well-received hits like “Bikini Bottom” and “Name of Love” this year.
We should also add that Ice Spice was recently named the top star on TikTok’s “Emerging Artist of the Year” list. So it’s safe to say that the audience is feeling ‘Ice Spice!
‘Super Eccentric Girl’ by Nicki Minaj
While the Grammys may not classify “Super Freaky Girl” as a rap track, we must respectfully disagree and give her Nicki flowers.
The song—which begins with Rick James’s “Super Freak”—is widely used on social media, and Gwen Stefani’s rendition of “Super Freaky Girl” and “Luxurious” is particularly popular. Notably, the song is Nicki Minaj’s first solo hit to top the charts. Billboard Hot 100.

H-Town Hottie has entered the track, and a particular verse including Ice-T has attracted fans.
